About this item

  • Give it a thorough soak and let it dry out a little bit between watering, and your Cebu should be happy. You’ll be able to tell if you’re going too long between watering — you may notice your plant looking wilted or displaying yellowed leaves.
  • Native to the Cebu island in the Philippines, the Cebu blue pothos (Epipremnum pinnatum 'Cebu Blue') is a special variety of pothos that is highly sought after due to its stunning foliage. Characterized by thin and silvery green-blue leaves, this Instagram-worthy pothos is delightfully easy to keep happy indoors. Unfortunately, as a part of the Epipremnum genus, this pothos is considered toxic to both cats and dogs.
  • While your Cebu blue will probably be fine with a bagged potting mix, we prefer a chunky, well-draining mix that includes orchid bark and perlite or vermiculite.
  • Cebu blue tolerates a moderate light environment, but to achieve the most vibrant and lush leaves, it thrives with abundant bright indirect light. If you decide to relocate it outdoors during the summer months, select an area that receives filtered sunlight, like the shade provided by a larger plant or tree.
  • The Cebu is tolerant of normal household temperatures and humidity, but if you live in a particularly dry area and see any of the effects of lack of humidity you may want to try a pebble tray, humidifier, or grouping your plants together to boost humidity.
