About this item

  • The Cebu is tolerant of normal household temperatures and humidity, but if you live in a particularly dry area and see any of the effects of lack of humidity you may want to try a pebble tray, humidifier, or grouping your plants together to boost humidity.
  • Ensure your Cebu is thoroughly soaked before allowing it to dry out slightly before the next watering. Pay attention to signs of overwatering, such as wilting or yellowing leaves, to determine if you are waiting too long between watering sessions.
  • Native to the Cebu island in the Philippines, the Cebu blue pothos (Epipremnum pinnatum 'Cebu Blue') is a special variety of pothos that is highly sought after due to its stunning foliage. Characterized by thin and silvery green-blue leaves, this Instagram-worthy pothos is delightfully easy to keep happy indoors. Unfortunately, as a part of the Epipremnum genus, this pothos is considered toxic to both cats and dogs.
  • Cebu blue is fairly laid-back about lighting so it will happily live in a medium light situation, but for the lushest and prettiest foliage give it plenty of bright indirect light. If you choose to move it outside for the summer, find a spot with filtered sunlight such as under a larger plant or tree.
  • While your Cebu blue will probably be fine with a bagged potting mix, we prefer a chunky, well-draining mix that includes orchid bark and perlite or vermiculite.
